The model
Imagine being a journalist in October 1984. You receive an invitation to the Lido, one of the most famous parisian nightclub, for the world premiere of a car, but it’s not any car, it’s a Ferrari. When on the night of the event, the car finally appears on the podium, the crow stands up and applauds, everybody knew a legend was born.
Named after the color of the cam covers on Ferrari’s engines, the Testarossa was a first step into a new generation of cars for the firm. The car, based on a similar chassis of the 512BB, was fitted with the famous 4.9 litres flat-12, derived from the Formula 1 championship winning 312B and T. However the most innovative part of the Testarossa resides in its overall design.
The shape of the Testarossa is a combination of straight lines and rounded shapes making it
a real piece of modern art ! Its most iconic detail comes from the mind of Leonardo Fioravanti, who convinced Enzo Ferrari to move radiators from the front to the back. The side air ducts are hidden behind horizontal fins guiding the air-flow to the radiators. This design replicates at the very end of the car, covering the rear lights to make a surprise effect when they would lit up.
The model evolved into the 512TR and 512M, but kept being produced until 1996 after almost 10.000 thousand examples. Pininfarina, created a car that would never get old, it grew old. The Testarossa became an icon of the 1980’s, used in movies, tv shows, and video games since the 1984 Paris Motor Show.

This car
‘Less is more’ would be an appropriate term to define the earliest examples of the Testarossa. These early cars are called ‘Monospecchio’ and ‘Monodado’, which means they have one rear-view mirror and a single wheel nut, two details which instantly makes it one of the most desirable examples. This specific car is one of them, but believe us, it’s even better than that!
This Testarossa was delivered new in Switzerland in an extremely rare and tasteful color combination of Blu Sera, over beige leather interior. It is believed only a handful of examples came out of the factory with this shade of blue.
With only one owner from new, the car now shows 55.000 km on the clock, and retains its original paint and leather in an insanely well preserved state. Moreover, it's accompanied by all the books, including the service book stamped from day 1, and all tools.

It has been recently serviced, clutch and timing belts were replaced to make sure its new
owner can fully enjoy it to the fullest!
Today we are happy to offer this iconic car for sale, in perfect original condition and ready to
drive any distance. If you have read this, you now know this Testarossa is the type of
example that makes you feel like you’re discovering the car for the first time. You’ve never
seen anything like it, and you probably won’t any time soon !
